The beliefs that limit you the most don’t sound negative.
They sound responsible.
They show up as thoughts like:
“I can’t afford to mess this up.”
“I need to handle this myself.”
“This isn’t the time to take a risk.”
And because they feel protective,
they rarely get questioned.
But when you slow down enough to follow them,
a pattern often appears.
“If I do this, I might look bad.”
“If I look bad, someone might notice.”
“If someone notices, my credibility could take a hit.”
“And if that happens, everything starts to unravel.”
At that point, you’re not responding
to what’s happening.
You’re responding to what you believe is at risk.
Many leaders don’t stop to examine that chain.
They just keep operating from it.
This clip is from an earlier LRR Chats on limiting beliefs.
These assumptions are usually driven by fear, not facts.
Naming them isn’t about self-criticism.
It’s about knowing what’s quietly shaping
how you live and lead.
The week after Christmas tends to create rare space
for this kind of noticing.
Less noise.
Fewer expectations.
More honesty.
And it’s worth paying attention to.
This is often where Blueprint coaching helps most.
Not by giving answers.
By helping leaders surface the assumptions quietly
driving their decisions.
By helping them get clear on what actually matters now.
If this resonates and you want space to think
it through, let’s talk.
